The other day i was surfing the net and came across the sudden rise in usage of LED in many appliances. What appliances one may doubt.. Taps, faucets, bathtubs, hobs, shower heads, are just to name a few!
Not that it was any less popular earlier...its applications are widening.
Think about it- it can change colors, can last for as long as 40 years, uses electricity to the max to give light and not to heat any filament, accents the area where it is used, and some say it can even run on batteries!
All said and done, "can it be used as functional lights?" my boss asks me.
Ah hah, that destination is not very far either :) Very soon we shall have LEDs instead of the burning halogen lights for our rooms.
My vote goes for them : )
